"Mlada" starija od supruga 52 godine

Seljani iz jednog zabitog sela u centralnoj Keniji protjerali su čudan bračni par: mlada ima 71, a mladoženja svega 19 godina. Njih dvoje su nevjenčano živjeli, a mladić je čak napustio školu, iako je bio jedan od najboljih đaka.
Seljani su upali u njihovu kuću, izbacili ih na ulicu i natjerali da napuste selo. Mnogi se čude čime je baka začarala mladića. Cinici su bili spremni da pomisle na vještinu kuvanja, ali je ugledni kenijski dnevnik "The Nation" objavio da su oni pripadali istoj vjerskoj sekti, zvanoj Arata a Roho Muteru ili Prijatelji Svetog duha.
Međutim, ovo nije prvi slučaj sklapanja braka u kojem je mlada više decenija starija od mladoženje. Prije tačno godinu dana vjenčali su se 68-godišnja mlada i četiri decenije mlađi mladoženja. Mladenci su se držali za ručice, nisu krili zaljubljenost.
Niko od brojne rodbine nije došao na svadbu, ali se pojavilo na stotine znatiželjnika, a stigle su i TV kamere. Mladoženjina majka je presvisla od tuge i bruke samo tri dana poslije svadbe, bojkot neobičnog para se nastavio, ali ovih dana su, ipak, proslavili prvu godišnjicu braka za koji oboje, a posebno baka, tvrde da je "veoma uspješan".
Jos tada je otvorena polemika u javnosti, pri čemu je ogromna većina osuđivala takav brak, ali je bilo i dosta žena koje su kao argument navodile kako se odobrava brak između staraca i mladih djevojaka, ponekad čak djevojčica. (avgust, 2004.godina)
